For nearly a decade, Kimberly Moore has been an Asset Manager at Artspace: A Minneapolis based nonprofit with a mission to create, foster, and preserve affordable and sustainable space for artists and arts organizations. In this position, she oversees a $165M portfolio of properties spanning six states, ensuring the physical stability, long-term financial viability, and contribution to arts-based community development for each. Her management footprint currently covers more than 350 residential units for low-income artists and their families; and supervision for more than 45,000 square feet of commercial and community spaces. Several of these catalytic buildings represent the adaptive reuse of historic spaces—and all contribute to the economic development
of their communities. Kimberly also acts as the owner representative and point of contact for investors, elected officials, and other community stakeholders. Her expertise includes public/private development, complex budgeting, planning and coordination of special projects, property management, and community engagement. Kimberly holds a Master of Project Management from the
Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago; a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale; and a Certificate of Project Management from the University of Minnesota. With more than 25 years of management experience, Kimberly was previously Project Manager at the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development.
She currently holds the position of Chair of the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD); Vice-chair of the City of Woodbury, MN Economic Development Commission; member of Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM) and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
