Amanda Settelmaier is a public administration professional with 27 years of experience. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Turtle Creek Valley Council of Governments (TCVCOG) which represents 20 municipalities in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Amanda specializes in Intergovernmental Cooperative efforts; grant writing/administration; and creating multi-municipal tools to mitigate community blight.
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director of the TCVCOG in June 2008, Amanda was Special Projects coordinator for State Senator Sean Logan, and prior to that, the Grants & Communications Coordinator for the Municipality of Monroeville. She began her career as Assistant Community Development Coordinator at the Turtle Creek Valley Council of Governments. Amanda currently serves as Chairperson for the Board of Directors at the Convention Visitors Bureau of Greater Monroeville. She is also on the Executive Board of the Tri-COG Land Bank. Under Ms. Settelmaier’s leadership, the TCVCOG won the prestigious Governor’s Award for Local Government Excellence in 2019.
Amanda is a graduate of East Allegheny High School, and received a Liberal Arts degree from St. Vincent College. She went on to receive her Graduate Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Graduate School of Public & International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a graduate of Leadership Development Initiative through Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc.
Amanda is currently working with a highly skilled team to create open-sourced, civic software around code enforcement workflows.
