Jorge Perez grew up in South Chicago, where he developed a strong work ethic and great ability to work with people. In 1996, he completed his M.B.A from Loyola University Chicago and started his career in economic development and business advocacy.

Jorge successfully bridged his retail experience with strong accomplishments in community economic development, public service and then with association executive leadership. Combining a pragmatic approach to his work he has successfully completed various project initiatives, economic development policy and legislative firsts.

He forged a deep understanding of the political realities and sensitivities that is required of business in order to navigate their public arena realities. This is particularly true as he has been a staunch advocate for diversity and inclusion for Hispanics as our community continues to grow in Chicago, the State of Illinois and the U.S.
