The United States has a long and important history of resettling refugees. In this session, attendees will learn more about the refugee resettlement process and its impact for communities. We will brief attendees on the history, process, and address misconceptions. With the right strategy and partnerships, Michigan can be a global leader on building more vibrant and welcoming communities, and remain a leader in refugee resettlement. The session will also include information and updates on how the state is preparing for President Biden’s refugee resettlement goals. Come hear from the State’s Refugee director and others in the field on how we can work together to resettle refugees and answer any of your questions.
