Thom Phillips is the Sustainable Housing Director at Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. He helps local and regional Habitat affiliates design, build, rehab, and repair high-performance affordable housing in partnership with qualified low-income families.
He received a bachelor’s degree in 1979 and a secondary teaching certificate in 1984. A licensed custom builder for over 33 years, Thom’s professional certifications include Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater, Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst, FORTIFIED™ Home Evaluator, Level 1 Thermographer, and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
