Danielle’s journey began with a pursuit of a degree in Interior Architecture in 2015, but her ambition to create a deeper impact in people's lives led her to pivot towards a more direct care approach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies/Human Development, specializing in Health and Wellness. Since 2018, Danielle has built a robust Volunteer portfolio and professional experience in Mental Health, providing compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and mental health disabilities while demonstrating a strong commitment to education, community development and revitalization in underserved areas. Her academic and professional experiences eventually led Danielle to discovering Wayne County’s Coordinated Entry System in 2021 were she primarily worked with Veterans and Domestic Violence victims. Re-igniting her passion for housing but in a different capacity and allowing her to merge it with her love for working with complex individuals. Currently, Danielle serves as the Shelter Diversion and Resource Program Coordinator at the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County. In this role, she dedicates herself to rapidly supporting Single Adults/Adult Families in innovative ways to find Safe and stable "alternative housing” other than shelter. With a strength-based & empowerment theory approach to divert persons from homelessness, incorporating community collaboration to serve individuals in Washtenaw County with Empathy, Advocacy, Efficiency, Style & Grace.
