SaTrice Coleman-Betts is the Executive Director of St. Patrick Senior Center in Detroit. St. Patrick Senior Center is Detroit’s largest health and wellness center for adults 55 years and older. The Center offers a wide range of programs designed to enhance the mental and physical wellbeing for over 3400 Detroit area seniors. SPSC has provided services for more than 50 years. Mrs. Coleman-Betts has over 27 years of service at St. Patrick Senior Center. She has a substantial history of cultivating individual donors, grant writing, special events, and program development. Over the course of her career, she has established a reputation as a caring advocate for older adults and a willing partner to work with other organizations to collaboratively provide programs to address the needs of the community her organization serves. She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and Master of Science Degree from Colorado State University.
Mrs. Coleman-Betts is a past Board Member and the Standards Chairperson for the Michigan Association of Senior Centers. She serves on committees for several organizations including the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA), Detroit Food Policy Council, the Senior Regional Collaborative, University of Michigan RESET Committee. Mrs. Coleman-Betts is a member of several community service organizations. Mrs. Coleman-Betts has received several awards from the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Women’s Informal Network, Elliottorian Business and Professional Women’s Club, Top Ladies of Distinction Detroit Chapter, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Also, she has been featured by Channel 7 WXYZ, the Detroit Free Press, nationally by Comcast Universal for her digital equity and inclusion activities, and several other media outlets.
