Karrie S. Biron is a citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and has spent more than 20 years advancing tribal sovereignty, governance, and economic development across Indian Country. She serves as General Counsel for the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians and has been the Chief Appellate Judge for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe for over a decade.
Previously, she was the Managing Partner of Rosette, LLP, a majority Indian‑owned national law firm.
Ms. Biron is a 2012 NCAIED “40 Under 40” honoree and holds degrees from Michigan State University College of Law, Western Michigan University, and Davenport University.
