Most student jazz or big bands lack a proper concept of a coordinate rhythm section, particularly on "straight ahead" swing tunes.This session involves a big band rhythm section and will demonstrate the role, technical aspects, concepts and common problems within the rhythm section of the big band setting and how to solve them. This clinic will aid the director by showing how to improve their rhythm section which will help their band to swing.
