Over the past 13 years, I've taught classes from secondary instrumental to music technology to early childhood in and outside of Michigan. Through this experience I learned that no matter the level or subject matter, our goal is to develop students that thrive as musicians once they leave our classroom. As a teacher I focus on developing my students' ability to self-reflect, problem-solve, and take charge of their learning and practice. As an individual, I try to live what I teach pursuing a variety of interests in and outside of music including language-learning, travel, dance, and cycling.
