Bethany Hansen graduated from Western Michigan University in 2018 with a BM in Music Education, Secondary Instrumental emphasis. For her graduating honors thesis, she researched domestic human trafficking and the role that public school teachers can play in identifying endangered minors. Since then, she has been living in Kalamazoo, continuing to equip current and future educators to respond to the epidemic of human trafficking in the United States. She has taught summer music classes in Belize, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Hispanic Studies at WMU.
