Participants will:

• Understand how lived experience and constituent relationships shape the way local elected officials understand and prioritize vacant or deteriorated properties.
• Identify practical ways to help councilmembers build coalitions and sustain vacant or deteriorated property efforts through political turnover and shifting council dynamics.
• Learn how to connect vacant or deteriorated property strategies and projects to the people, stories, and neighborhood priorities behind them.
