Terry Schwarz is a city planner, community designer, and urban researcher driven by the conviction that everyone deserves to live in a neighborhood where they are safe, prosperous, and well. As director of the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative at Kent State University, Terry partnered with community development corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to shape regional approaches to urban design and the sustainable reuse of vacant properties. She currently teaches at Oberlin College while conducting research in the areas of historic preservation, deconstruction, and watershed restoration.
