Kevin Snider is Chancellor Emeritus of Penn State New Kensington, where he served for more than sixteen years leading one of the most ambitious community revitalization efforts in the Penn State system. His work focused on aligning higher education, economic development, and community leadership to prepare regions for the digital age.
Snider conceived and launched Nextovation, an innovation ecosystem that helped attract more than $120 million in investment and over 140 new companies to New Kensington while creating innovative pathways for student learning and workforce development. Through partnerships with government, industry, and foundations, his leadership helped transform vacant spaces into a Corridor of Innovation and establish Penn State New Kensington as a model for how universities can help communities become future-ready.
He now advises communities, institutions, and regional leaders on building future-ready institutions ecosystems for the digital economy.
