Vanessa McCarthy-Johnson is a founding board member and Treasurer of the Wilkinsburg Land Bank, bringing extensive experience in municipal government, community development, and public policy. A former Wilkinsburg Council President and Borough Manager of Homestead, she has led initiatives focused on neighborhood revitalization, youth development, and community engagement. Vanessa currently serves as Program Manager for Cure Violence East at Community Forge, where she oversees community-based violence prevention efforts across several eastern Allegheny County communities. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Strategy and a Master of Public Policy and Management.
