Meredith Kennedy

Meredith (she/her) is a proud Waganakising Odawak, mother of six, and graduate of NCMC and Ferris State University with a background in education leadership. Her career has always focused on serving her tribal communities; 17 years in the areas of environment, education, culture, mental health, and substance abuse with experience as a director within the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians government and the Intertribal Council of Michigan. In addition to being the founder and executive director of Miigwech, she is a small business owner (Native North Tours and Storytelling), had a appointment on the Odawa Economic Affairs Holding Corporation and is a former member the of the Think Babies Michigan executive board.
She considers serving her community the highest honor. Promoting Odawa culture and Mino Bimaadiziwin, the good life, is the legacy she wants to leave for her children and her community members, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous. Her legacy is to focus on the next Seven Generations growing up supporting each other with love, understanding, and respect.
Amiyoko Shabazz

Amiyoko Shabazz has Lived Experience with numerous periods of homelessness, shelter services, mental, recovery, and physical wellness programs. These experiences drive her to give back and work in her purpose. She trains, leads, motivates, inspires, and transforms other Lived Experience Experts, Peer Specialists, Train-The-Trainers, Providers and private Clients. She enjoys sharing her radiant light to help others with self-growth, self-awareness, and self-evolution, community empowerment, and community development. One of her most recent projects involved working with the NOAH project in the fair City of Detroit where she served as the Lived Experience expert and helped develop a lived experience position with wraparound services. This position still exists and functions as the Peer Community Builder. Amiyoko currently serves as an Ambassador for the Community Bill of Rights for greater Los Angeles, California.
Amanda Andere

Amanda Misiko Andere has spent over twenty years working in the nonprofit and public sector as a leader committed to racial and housing justice through advocacy for systemic change. Prior to joining Funders Together to End Homelessness as their CEO, she served as the CEO of Wider Opportunities for Women, a national advocacy organization. Currently, she serves as board chair of the United Philanthropy Forum and board member of Equity in the Center, The Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, and Leadership Fairfax. Amanda is a founding member and on the leadership team for the National Racial Equity Working Group on Homelessness and Housing and the National Coalition for Housing Justice. She also serves on the Leadership Council for the DC Partnership to End Homelessness and is a volunteer advisor for Fairfax County on their racial equity task force.
