Korrine Finkbeiner

Korrine Finkbeiner is a nontraditional second year student from Flint, MI. She earned her bachelor of science in biochemistry at Kettering University in 2014. She earned licenses to practice in Michigan as an EMT in 2015 and as a paramedic in 2017. In 2017 she was certified in EpicCare Ambulatory to analyze electronic medical records at Hurley Medical Center.

Korrine's time as a paramedic inspired an interest in supporting people in her community through tough times of their life. She is passionate about caring for underserved communities. As a medical student, Korrine volunteers with Spartan Street Medicine, CHM Serve, and American Medical Association’s VotER outreach program. She is certified as a Mental Health First Aider. She is the American Women’s Medical Association representative on the Council of Diversity Education, and she was part of a vaccination clinic with Ingham County Health Department at Mission Outreach shelter.
