Street medicine brings medical care directly to those experiencing homelessness wherever they reside and seeks to bridge the gap to more formal medical care through empathetic and respectful outreach. In this session, faculty and students from Michigan State University’s Spartan Street Medicine will describe our experiences (including a few standout cases), detail significant health concerns for this population (both from our work and published literature) and discuss the need for community partnership in providing well-rounded care.
