Living and working in Asia and Europe have led Frances to a specialization in multi-cultural business objectives. Her company, Smooth Sailing Inc., started in the maritime world, and expanded to programs and projects across industries and countries including Emergency Preparedness, Strategy & Risk, plus Innovation. As a consultant she has worked with clients from Big Tech, Silicon Valley start-ups, organizational diversification, and small business entrepreneurs.

Working as a Professor in MBA and post graduate programs allows her to develop curriculum and teach in multiple departments. She finds it very rewarding to provide business skills that are topical and pragmatic for today’s professionals. Frances is honored to be considered a resource for organizations, ex. The Project Management Institute regularly calls on her as a Subject Matter Expert in PM, and Agile.

Frances believes volunteerism drives progress in the world today. She is a volunteer for the Small Business Administration which training for local and global small businesses. , Frances has provided hundreds of workshops in the US and Hawaii, currently online. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for a non-profit focusing on preservation of nature and history on an island in the middle of San Francisco Bay.
