Discover how machine learning, digital fabrication, and community partnership are converging to reinvent Michigan’s legacy cities. This session showcases diverse projects, including Detroit single-family homes by award-winning design technology firm, houm, and an LTU community-centered design studio, in order to demonstrate how AI can be harnessed to create cost-effective, eco-friendly housing. By blending empathy-driven personas with advanced digital tools, we illustrate several new models for design practice that prioritizes inclusive, cost-effective and eco-friendly strategies, and provides a roadmap for sustainable, equitable growth across Michigan.
