Mariea Mongene has worked in housing for a total of 32 years for her tribe. She was recently named as the Housing Director. Her extensive experience with the Housing Authority, leadership within the department and long-standing commitment to housing advocacy for tribal members made her a strong fit the position. Mongene previously served as Assistant Housing Director for 15 years and stepped into the role of interim housing director in July 2025. In her role, she leads the Housing team in developing and maintaining housing programs and housing alternatives so that all tribal members can be served.
