Saturday, January 30, 2021
9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

Description
Instrumental music teachers have long grappled with how to teach the music and to teach about the music. But how can educators continue to prepare for performances and still construct rich curricular experiences focusing on improvisation, composition, and knowledge of musical theory and context? In this session, Dr. Ryan Shaw will give examples and concrete strategies for incorporating comprehensive musicianship across instrumental settings.
