A Stroke of the Brush: Making Meaningful Interpretive Decisions in Choral Music

Saturday, January 30, 2021
1:00 PM - 1:45 PM

Description
Day-to-day teaching can feel inconsequential in the grand scheme of a school year. Much like a painter, we choral directors make thousands of musical decisions each week that coalesce into meaningful artistry. This session is an opportunity to reexamine the process of making interpretive decisions for your choirs. Several pieces from the MSVMA required list will anchor the session, giving you tools that can be directly applied to your ensembles.
