The POWER of Repertoire Selection
Friday, January 29, 2021
8:00 PM - 8:45 PM
Description
The works we choose to teach and perform inform our students and our audiences. Our choice of repertoire can influence how our students and audiences view music and what they consider to be quality repertoire. How can we use our repertoire to convey messages which are important to us? How can we commission music to be written for our ensembles which celebrate success and honor personal adversity? The presenters will answer these questions and offer practical tips on repertoire selection.
