Music educators face many challenges which may be compounded with chronic illness and disease. The purpose of this session is to describe the experiences of music educators with auto-immune disease and/or chronic illness, how their disease impacts and influences their work, and what they want colleagues to know about living and working with illness and how they can be supportive. Clinicians will provide strategies for navigating teaching with chronic illness, self-advocacy, and seeking support.
