Embracing Change (Facing the Unknown Without Fear!)

Friday, January 29, 2021
4:00 PM - 4:45 PM

This workshop will focus on being able to adapt or reinvent your career when presented with changes. Some that are beyond your control: Moving for a spouse's job, losing your position due to reconfiguration, or cuts to your program. Some that are your choice: changing focus, grade level, district, or choosing to stay home with small children. Attendees will come away from the clinic with ideas to use the skills they already have to view change as an opportunity to better their career and life.
Learning Objective 1
Attendees will learn how to use the skills they already have and apply them to different settings by building on previous knowledge and experience. Concrete examples will be provided.
Learning Objective 2
Attendees will learn how to use the resources available to them and ways to be comfortable in asking for help. The focus will also be on out of the box thinking and a positive mindset.
Learning Objective 3
Attendees will learn ways to creatively problem solve and overcome perceived roadblocks and barriers. The focus will be on learning to work within existing systems and creating new opportunities.
