*Taking Care of Orff Instruments: An Investment and a Journey

Description
Using Orff instruments in the classroom is an investment of both time and financial resources. This session will follow one public school's journey to repair and maintain its aged Orff instruments from the securing of funding to repair execution, and will culminate with a discussion and demonstration of commonly needed instrument repairs.

Learning Objective 1
Participants in this session will be exposed to the different steps of securing funding for instrument repair, therefore being able to work towards finding funding at their own schools.
Learning Objective 2
Participants in this session will learn the steps of identifying instruments that need repairs and sources for replacement parts for Orff instruments.
Learning Objective 3
Participants in this session will observe common repairs of Orff instruments and be able to replicate those repairs in their own schools.
