Ingrid Pylvainen is a self-proclaimed theory geek. She believes that student-led projects create the most meaningful learning experiences for her students. She loves to learn about new ways to help students explore, create, and take ownership of their musicianship. She teaches 7th and 8th grade orchestra at Traverse City West Middle School, and directs the Traverse City West Senior High School orchestras. One of the best times of her day is teaching the music theory class at West Senior High School and leading the Traverse City West Theory Improv Group. Ingrid lives with her super supportive partner Robert, a crazy cat, and four wild and beautiful children.
