Dr. Southard is currently an Director of Bands at Hope College, where he conducts the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, teaches flute, and heads the Instrumental division of the Music Education program. Southard completed his DMA at MSU and prior to that, he taught for three years at the University of Michigan-Flint.
