David L. Wells taught band for 33 years at the middle schools for Northview Public Schools in Grand Rapids, MI. Holding a bachelor of music degree from Western Michigan University as well as a masters in the art of teaching from Calvin College, Wells is a conductor and clinician for bands in the Grand Rapids area. A private instructor of low brass, his students have gone on to become performers, and teachers. He is a free lance trombonist and leads a Dixieland band and a big band, He is a published composer for concert band with various commissions from area schools for new music.
