Maggie directs the day-to-day operations of the Fine Arts Department in the Grand Rapids Public Schools. She has over 25 years of experience in K-12 education as a music teacher, band director, and administrator. Her experience as a professional musician, administrator, adjudicator, as well as her experience in urban education, have helped her build a unique perspective for classroom instruction and shaping the vision of new and existing programs. She has a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education and a Master of Art in K-12 Administration from MSU.

Maggie is a founder of Staff Notes GR, a vocal group of educators using their talents to give back to the community.
