Rebecca Kilgore is in her year at East Rockford Middle School and in her 2th year of teaching. The East Rockford Symphonic Band was selected to perform at the Michigan Music Conference in 2013 and 2016. She also presented a session on Beginning Band at the 2018 MMC. She received her Bachelors of Music from Western Michigan University and her Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music.
Ms. Kilgore has conducted various District middle school honors bands. She was selected MSBOA District X Band Teacher of the Year in 2015 and 2023. Ms Kilgore was named MSBOA State Band Teacher of the year in 2024. She has conducted bands at Blue Lake and Knollcrest Music Camp for nine summers. She currently conducts the St. Cecilia MS Summer Band Camp.
Ms. Kilgore lives in Rockford with her two daughters Madison (20) and Elizabeth (16)
