Sarah currently teaches general music for Kent ISD at a special education center in Grand Rapids serving students primarily with emotional and cognitive impairments. She is also an adjunct faculty at Aquinas College and Calvin University where she teaches music methods courses as well as supervise student teachers. Sarah has been a proud member of MMEA/NAfME for nearly twenty years, being an active collegiate member then serving on the board as Collegiate Representative, Early Careers Chair, and now as Mentoring Chair.
