Spiros Xydas currently teaches at Baker Middle School in Troy, MI where he instructs using a constructivist, student-centered approach. Dr. Xydas earned his PhD in Music Education at Oakland University. He has presented at workshops and conferences internationally and worldwide. His professional presentation topics have included instrumental music techniques, incorporating technology and composition in the performance-based classroom and creating a student-centered band ensemble. Dr. Xydas is currently the state chair for the Music Education Workshop for MSBOA.
