Amy Sierzega teaches pK-5th grade general music and beginning band in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. An alumna of Michigan State University, Ms. Sierzega is an early childhood music educator for Eastern Michigan University's Community Music Academy and is an assistant conductor for the Washtenaw Community Concert Band. She currently serves as general music chair for MMEA and as membership commission chair for the Gordon Institute for Music Learning. Her research interests include teacher beliefs, musicianship identity, and culturally responsive practices.
