Maria Lograsso teaches general music to students at Hutchinson Elementary-Middle School in the Detroit Public Schools Community District. She is a proud member of the Detroit Federation of Teachers and an advocate for union and caucus membership in order to hold and grow our collective power as educators. She serves on the leadership team of the Michigan Caucus of Rank-and-File Educators, working towards uniting teachers across the state of Michigan in social justice issues and worker rights. You can see her planning and performing actions including the Online Saves Lives Rally in Lansing, speaking at school board meetings across the state, and helping educate the public and education community through town halls. She holds Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance and Education from Wayne State University and a Masters of English Language Learning from Western Governors University.
