Since 2006 CSH, in partnership with the Michigan Campaign to End Homelessness (MCTEH), has selected a recipient for the Carla Javits Leadership award as an acknowledgement of the exemplary work being done to help Michigan reach its goal of ending homelessness. As CSH and the MCTEH re-calibrate the way we work, centering racial equity and inclusivity, we decided to pause the presentation of the award for 2022. In this session we want to re-think this award, it’s purpose and it’s significance are seeking input from those closest to the work of ending homelessness to understand how we can collectively acknowledge the incredible work of leaders across the state as well as what leadership and progress truly mean to you.
