Dr. Allen is an Assistant Professor of Music Education at Central Michigan University, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate music education courses and supervises student teaching. Prior to transitioning to higher education, she taught choral and general music in the Oklahoma City area and earned Kodaly certifications in levels I, II, and III from the University of Oklahoma. She is the program director for the CMU Kodaly certification program and enjoys working with practicing music education specialists across the country. Dr. Allen’s research interests include teacher stress, job satisfaction, time management, and other areas that explore happy, healthy music teaching.
