This session provides activities that develop awareness for choral tuning. Choral directors can monitor vocal technique when rehearsing intonation drills, and we may monitor intonation when rehearsing vocal technique exercises. This is “cross training” for choirs. This session presents a rehearsal process relating choral tuning and vocal technique. Watson interviewed choral directors, coded the interview transcripts, and summarized emerging themes with examples from the literature.
