Jim Watson is Director of Music Ministries at First Baptist Church and Lake Orion Baptist School. He conducts the graded choirs and orchestral forces of the church and educational ministries.
He founded the Choral Artists of Michigan, a semi-professional choral organization dedicated to performing the choral masterworks and organizing educational festivals. Jim is an adjudicator, clinician, and scholar who regularly serves young musicians through the MSVMA. His research interests include choral literature selection, voice pedagogy, and conductors' analyses. His research appears in the Choral Journal, and he seeks to cultivate intellectual curiosity while providing great ensemble experiences.
