Teaching Musicality in a Rehearsal Setting

Saturday, January 30, 2021
3:00 PM - 3:45 PM

Description
Musicality is an important skill that seems to come naturally to some, but should be taught to enable students and ensembles to experience the magic that draws us all to music. This session will discuss concepts of teaching musicality that can be used in many levels of performance, from beginning through advanced orchestras. Standard repertoire will be used to demonstrate a musical concept, which will be then applied to student repertoire.
