Researchers examining thinking, creativity, and musical understanding call for teaching practices that are learner-centered, collaborative, and encourage musical play. This session highlights an early childhood musical play-based arts residency and an elementary music curriculum that engages children in reflective, playful music making. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences and insights about reflective practices, creativity, and musical play-based curriculum design.
