Choral Tone Hacks: Using Techniques From the Studio to Create Distinct, Diverse Timbres

Saturday, January 30, 2021
11:00 AM - 11:45 AM

Description
Different compositions often require drastically different vocal timbres and techniques, and teaching a variety of tonal styles in a healthful and efficient way can be a daunting task. This presentation will use real repertoire, audience participation, and a demonstration choir to show quick, effective, and healthy ways to drastically change your choir’s tone. The rehearsal techniques presented are sourced directly from vocal pedagogy textbooks, private studio tricks, and choral rehearsals.
