Kimberly Adams
Praised for her energetic, positive, and insightful work as a conductor and clinician, Dr. Kimberly Dunn Adams is currently the Director of Choral Activities at Western Michigan University, where she directs University Chorale, Anima, Collegiate Singers, and Grand Chorus. She also directs the graduate program in choral conducting and teaches associated classes. Adams’ choirs have received top prizes in national and international competitions, invitations to perform at choral conventions, and recognition for their recordings. Adams has presented at the World Choral Symposium, Nordic Choral Conference, National Collegiate Choral Organization conference, Michigan Music Conference, and MSVMA Summer Workshop. She has guest conducted and given workshops to choirs around the United States and in several countries. Adams was previously the Director of Choral Ensembles at Mount Holyoke College. She holds undergraduate degrees from Oberlin College & Conservatory and graduate degrees from the Yale School of Music and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
